PT-141 (BREMELANOTIDE) / VYLEESI
One Solution to sexual dysfunction
What is PT-141?
PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a synthetic peptide that is used to treat sexual dysfunction in women and men. While PDE-5 inhibitors work to increase blood flow into the penis, PT-141 is a melanocortin, which works in the brain to increase sexual desire.
PT-141 was originally studied to darken skin pigmentation and induce tanning. However, during the initial testing, patients noted a pleasant side effect – that it caused increased sexual arousal.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
The number one side effect is nausea and can occur in up to 40% of people. At NeXtGen we will start you at a low dose (1mg) to see how your body tolerates peptide. Anti-nausea medication may help if you pre-treat with it. Additionally, facial flushing with a feeling of warmth and facial redness may occur, or a mild headache. High blood pressure is associated with the nasal spray but only very mild with the injections. As with any injection, local site injection irritation may occur. Discoloration of the skin, specifically hyperpigmentation, may occur—especially if PT-141 is used more than eight times in one month. The discoloration may not resolve upon stopping the use of PT-141 and may occur on the face, gums, or breasts. Experiments in animals, even at high doses, failed to find any negative consequences on fertility
